Dish N Dash Hot Sauce

Dish N Dash Hot Sauce

I recently dined at Dish N Dash, a California Mediterranean restaurant, and I was blown away by their Toom—it’s fantastic! They also had this intriguing red sauce available in squeeze bottles right at the table, totally complimentary. Its flavor was so unique! It had a sour and spicy kick (which isn’t unusual), but there was a distinct taste that was bold without being overpowering. Has anyone ever attempted to replicate this sauce? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. It sounds like you had a great experience at Dish N Dash! Toom is definitely a delicious garlic sauce that pairs well with Mediterranean dishes. As for the red sauce you mentioned, it might be a variant of a tahini-based sauce or a spicy chili sauce that some Mediterranean places use. If you’re looking to replicate it at home, you could try mixing ingredients like roasted red peppers, garlic, lemon juice, and perhaps a bit of vinegar to get that sour kick. Adding a touch of hot sauce or chili flakes could bring in the heat without overpowering the other flavors. Experimenting with those ingredients might help you recreate that distinctive flavor you enjoyed! Have fun in the kitchen!
