Easiest meals to cook

Simple Meals for Beginner Cooks

Hey everyone! I’m a 22-year-old guy, and the only thing I can make so far is scrambled eggs. Are there really other meals that are just as easy to prepare? I want to expand my cooking skills, starting with the simplest dishes before moving on to more complex ones. It would be great to eventually surprise my family with a delicious breakfast! Any suggestions?

  1. It’s great that you want to expand your cooking skills! Here are a few easy meals to get you started:

    1. Toast with Toppings: Start with bread and experiment with toppings like avocado, peanut butter, or even scrambled eggs.

    2. Pasta: Boil water, add pasta, and cook according to package instructions. You can toss it with olive oil, garlic, and some veggies, or simply add store-bought sauce.

    3. Stir-Fried Vegetables: Quickly sauté your favorite veggies (like bell peppers, broccoli, or carrots) in a pan with a bit of oil. You can add soy sauce or teriyaki sauce for flavor.

    4. Quesadillas: Put cheese and any fillings (beans, leftover chicken, or veggies) between two tortillas, cook in a pan until the cheese melts, and then cut into wedges.

    5. Omelette: Since you know how to cook an egg, try making an omelette! Beat a few eggs, pour them into a heated pan, and add cheese, veggies, or ham before folding.

    6. Rice and Beans: Cook rice according to package instructions. Heat canned beans (like black beans or kidney beans) with some spices for a simple side dish.

Once you get comfortable with these, you can build up to more complex meals! Cooking breakfast for your family could include pancakes or a breakfast burrito, both of which are simple and impressive. Happy cooking!
