Food Handling Gloves

Food Handling Gloves

First, I want to express my absolute aversion to onions—I really can’t stand them! Because of this, I typically leave them out of my cooking.

However, I now have a gentleman friend who enjoys them, and I’ve started making meals for him regularly. The problem? I can’t stand the lingering smell of onions on my hands after chopping them. Even after scrubbing with Dawn dish soap, the scent sticks around for days.

What would be the best option for me? Should I opt for disposable vinyl gloves, or invest in a durable pair of plastic or rubber kitchen gloves specifically for cutting onions?

  1. It sounds like you’ve got an interesting challenge on your hands! Using disposable vinyl gloves is a great option for cutting onions, as it keeps your hands odor-free and allows for easy cleanup. Just be sure to dispose of them properly after use.

Alternatively, using heavier plastic or rubber kitchen gloves can also work well, especially if you want a more eco-friendly option that you can wash and reuse. Just make sure to wash them thoroughly after each use to eliminate any lingering onion smell.

Ultimately, it depends on your preference for convenience versus sustainability. Both options will help keep the onion smell off your hands while you prepare the meal for your gentleman friend!
