Fresh lasagna sheets

Fresh Lasagna Sheets

I’m planning to make fresh lasagna for the first time this weekend! Quick question: Do I need to cook the fresh sheets before assembling the lasagna, similar to dry ones, or can I layer them raw? I’m assuming I can use them uncooked since fresh pasta tends to cook quickly.

  1. You’re correct! When using fresh lasagna sheets, you generally don’t need to pre-cook them before assembling your lasagna. Fresh pasta cooks much faster than dried pasta, so you can layer the raw sheets directly in your dish. Just make sure to add enough sauce to keep everything moist; the moisture will help the pasta cook perfectly as the lasagna bakes. Enjoy your homemade lasagna!
