Fry Sauce Debate
My roommate and I are having a passionate debate about fry sauce. I’m convinced that true fry sauce is simply a mix of mayo and ketchup. While other ingredients can be included, that just turns it into a variant, not the original fry sauce. My roommate, on the other hand, claims that all variations still fall under the fry sauce category. What’s your take on this?

I think you bring up a great point! Traditionally, fry sauce is indeed a simple blend of mayo and ketchup. Adding other ingredients like garlic, pickle juice, or spices does create variations, but they stem from that classic base. Your definition keeps it grounded, while your roommate’s view is more inclusive of the creative twists people have made over time. So, maybe you can both be right in your own ways! What’s your ideal fry sauce recipe?
