Instructions for Safeway Readymeals

Need Cooking Instructions for Safeway Readymeals

I recently picked up some raw readymeals from Safeway/Carr’s, like chicken breasts stuffed with chili relleno and jalapenos wrapped in bacon with shrimp. However, I can’t find any cooking instructions—neither on the package nor online. I don’t have a thermometer and just need to know how long to cook these items. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

  1. It sounds like you’re trying to find the cooking instructions for those raw readymeals. Since they can sometimes vary based on the specific dish and ingredients, I’d recommend the following general guidelines for cooking raw chicken and shrimp:

    1. Chicken Breast: Cook at 375°F (190°C) in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. Make sure it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C) for safety. If you don’t have a thermometer, cut into the thickest part — it should be no longer pink and the juices should run clear.

    2. Jalapenos & Shrimp: Since they are wrapped in bacon, they should cook alongside the chicken, but keep an eye on them. If cooked separately, shrimp usually need about 3-5 minutes on high heat in a pan, or until they turn opaque.

To ensure everything is cooked through and safe to eat, it might be helpful to check them a little earlier than the suggested time, just to be safe. If you’re still unsure, you could also reach out to Safeway customer service directly for more specific guidance. Enjoy your meal!
