is frozen glass container ok in the microwave or oven ?

Can I use frozen glass containers in the microwave or oven? I made a big batch of lasagna last week and froze some in glass containers. Is it safe to reheat them directly in the microwave, or should I let the lasagna thaw in the fridge first?

  1. It’s generally not safe to put frozen glass containers directly in the microwave or oven, as rapid temperature changes can cause the glass to crack or shatter. It’s best to let the lasagna defrost in the fridge first to avoid this issue. If you’re in a hurry, you can place it in the microwave on a low setting to gently thaw it, but keep an eye on it to make sure the glass doesn’t get too hot. Once it’s thawed, you can reheat it thoroughly in the microwave or oven. Enjoy your lasagna!
