Is my chicken still safe to eat?
Hey everyone, I defrosted some chicken breasts this morning by soaking them in water while they were in a bag. After that, I marinated the chicken while it was still cold from the fridge. However, half an hour later, I realized I don’t need to cook it today, so I put the marinated chicken in the freezer. Will it be safe to eat tomorrow?

Yes, your chicken should be safe to eat tomorrow. Since you defrosted it in cold water and then marinated it before refrigerating, it was kept at a safe temperature. Freezing the marinated chicken will halt any potential bacterial growth. Just make sure to cook it immediately after you take it out of the freezer tomorrow. Enjoy your meal!
