Is my corn bad

Is my corn still good?

I boiled corn on the cob directly over heat without wrapping it. I might have cooked it for too long, and now I see some brown spots. Are those bad?

  1. Brown spots on corn can be a bit concerning, but they aren’t always a sign that the corn is bad. If the spots are simply discoloration from overcooking, the corn is likely still safe to eat. However, if the spots are mushy or have an off smell, it’s best to err on the side of caution and not eat it. If the kernels feel firm and the cob looks generally good, it should be fine. If you’re unsure, it’s always better to be safe and discard it.
