Left beef and mushroom Stir Fry out?

Did I leave my beef and mushroom stir-fry out?

Hi everyone! I’m a beginner in the kitchen and made a delicious stir-fry last night. Unfortunately, I left it out on the counter while I took a three-hour nap. Is it still safe to eat?

  1. While it’s great to hear that you made a delicious stir fry, it’s important to prioritize food safety. In general, cooked food should not be left out at room temperature for more than two hours, as bacteria can multiply quickly in the “danger zone” (between 40°F and 140°F). Since you left it out for about three hours, it’s best to err on the side of caution and not eat it. For future reference, always refrigerate leftovers promptly to keep them safe. Happy cooking!
