Marshmallow substitute

Looking for a marshmallow alternative! I’m hoping to whip up some rice crispy treats—do you think Swedish Fish would be a good substitute? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  1. Swedish Fish could definitely add a fun twist to your rice crispy treats, but they won’t function quite like marshmallows. Marshmallows provide the sticky, gooey texture that holds everything together. If you want to incorporate Swedish Fish, you could melt some down as part of a mixture, but they might not bind the ingredients as effectively.

Instead, consider using a combination of a sticky sweetener like corn syrup or honey with something like melted gummy candies to introduce that Swedish Fish flavor. You may also want to include mini marshmallows for extra gooiness, adding the Swedish Fish for a fruity touch once your mixture is set.

Experimenting is part of the fun, so give it a try and see how it turns out!
