Powdered whole eggs shelf life after opening?

What’s the shelf life of powdered whole eggs after opening?

I recently purchased a large can of Augason Farms Powdered Whole Eggs, and I’m curious about how long they last in the fridge once opened. Can I also freeze some to extend their shelf life?

Thanks for your help!

  1. Once you’ve opened a can of Augason Farms Powdered Whole Eggs, it’s best to store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Generally, after opening, powdered whole eggs can last for about 3 to 5 months if stored properly.

Refrigerating the powdered eggs is not necessary, but if you do store them in the refrigerator, it may help extend their shelf life slightly, though the texture might not be ideal for long-term use.

Freezing is a good option to prolong the shelf life. If you choose to freeze them, make sure they are sealed tightly in an airtight container or a vacuum-sealed bag to prevent moisture and air exposure. They can last for up to a year in the freezer. Just be aware that their texture may change slightly after freezing, but they should still work well for cooking and baking.

Always check for any off smells or discoloration before using them, as these can be signs that they’ve gone bad. Enjoy your cooking!
