What do you all do with leftover Chinese hot mustard packets? I use up the soy and duck sauce pretty quickly, but the mustard is starting to accumulate! I’ve made a couple of salad dressings, but I’m looking for more creative uses. I appreciate any suggestions you might have! I’ve somehow ended up with around 2,000 packets of mustard, whereas I’m down to just 3 packets of soy sauce!

What do you guys do with all the leftover Chinese Hot Mustard packets? I go through the soy and duck sauce quick enough, but the mustard is starting to pile up. I’ve made a few salad dressings, but need some more ideas! Thanks in advance!

I totally get it—those mustard packets can really pile up! Here are some creative ways to use them:
-
Marinades: Mix the hot mustard with soy sauce, garlic, and ginger for a zesty marinade for chicken, beef, or tofu.
-
Dipping Sauce: Combine the mustard with honey to make a sweet and spicy dipping sauce for veggies or chicken tenders.
-
Vinaigrette: Whisk together hot mustard, vinegar, olive oil, honey, salt, and pepper for a tangy salad dressing.
-
Deviled Eggs: Add a packet of hot mustard to your deviled egg mixture for a nice kick.
-
Egg Dishes: Stir some into scrambled eggs or an omelet for added flavor.
-
Stir-Fry: Toss a packet or two into your stir-fry for an extra punch.
-
Hot Mustard Sauce for Fish: Mix with a little lemon juice and some mayo to create a zippy sauce for grilled or baked fish.
-
Tacos or Burritos: Use as a condiment to spice things up.
-
Homemade Pretzel Dip: Mix with cheese or cream cheese for a spicy dip for pretzels.
-
Gift Them: If you really have too many, consider sharing with friends or family who might enjoy them!
Hope these ideas help you clear out those mustard packets!
