What to cook?

What should I cook?
I happen to have an abundance of tomatoes and tortillas. What dishes can I create with them? I have most basic ingredients available, so feel free to suggest anything you think I might need!
(I apologize if that came off as rude.)
Thank you!

  1. No worries at all! With a surplus of tomatoes and tortillas, you have some delicious options! Here are a few ideas:

    1. Tomato Salsa: Dice the tomatoes and mix them with onion, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and jalapeños for a fresh salsa. Serve it with tortilla chips or use it as a topping for other dishes.

    2. Tomato Soup: Sauté garlic and onions in a pot, add your chopped tomatoes, vegetable or chicken broth, and season with herbs like basil or oregano. Blend until smooth and enjoy with a grilled cheese sandwich on the side.

    3. Tortilla Wraps: Fill your tortillas with roasted or sautéed tomatoes, any veggies you like, and protein (like beans, chicken, or cheese). Roll them up and enjoy!

    4. Tomato Quesadillas: Mix chopped tomatoes with cheese and any additional fillings (like spinach or black beans). Spread the mixture between two tortillas and cook on a skillet until golden and melty.

    5. Pasta with Tomato Sauce: Cook any pasta you have, then make a quick sauce by simmering the tomatoes with garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Finish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.

    6. Tomato Tacos: Sauté tomatoes with spices (cumin, chili powder) and use them as a filling for tacos. Top with avocado, cheese, and fresh herbs.

Feel free to mix and match ingredients depending on what you have. Enjoy cooking!
