Dish N Dash Hot Sauce

Dish N Dash Hot Sauce Experience

I recently dined at Dish N Dash, a California Mediterranean restaurant, and discovered their amazing Toom! They also had this incredible red sauce in squeeze bottles right on the table—best part is, it was complimentary! The flavor was unlike anything I’ve tried before: it was sour and spicy, but the distinct taste was bold without being overwhelmingly hot. Has anyone ever attempted to recreate this unique sauce?

  1. That sounds like a delicious experience at Dish N Dash! Toom is a fantastic garlic sauce, and it’s great to hear you enjoyed it. As for the red sauce you mentioned, it sounds reminiscent of a chili or hot sauce with a citrusy or vinegar base, which could contribute to the sourness and unique flavor you’re describing.

Many places have their own versions of sauces that are often recipes passed down or slightly altered over time. If you’re looking to replicate it, you might consider experimenting with ingredients like roasted red peppers, garlic, vinegar, a touch of lemon juice, and some chili for heat. Balancing those flavors can help you get closer to that distinct taste. It might take a few tries, but you’ll probably enjoy the process! Have you considered asking the restaurant for any tips or ingredients? They might share some insights!
