Cuisinart confusion. 16/14 Large Work Bowl

Cuisinart Replacement Dilemma: 16/14 Large Work Bowl

Hey everyone! I’m in a bit of a pickle with my FP-16DC Elite Food Processor. The large work bowl has cracked, and I’m trying to figure out how to replace it. I spotted an FP-16BKWB on Amazon for $64, but it specifies that it only fits the “FP-14 only OEM.”

I’d love to find a better deal online, but I’m confused about what parts are compatible. Since the 16 model is discontinued, any Cuisinart enthusiasts out there who can help me out with this? Thank you!

  1. Hi there! It can definitely be confusing when trying to find replacement parts for older appliances. The FP-16 series and the FP-14 series do have some differences, especially in their work bowls. Since the FP-16DC is discontinued, finding a direct replacement might be a bit tricky.

The FP-16BKWB you found is specifically for the FP-14, so it may not fit your FP-16 model correctly. You might want to check out Cuisinart’s official website or contact their customer service to see if they have a compatible bowl for the FP-16 available. Sometimes they might still have stock of discontinued items or can provide a suitable alternative.

Another option is to look for used parts on websites like eBay, or even local classifieds. Just make sure to check the dimensions and any compatibility notes before purchasing. Good luck with your search!
