Seeking Your Favorite Easy and Nourishing Postpartum Recipes!

Hello everyone! As a postpartum doula, I dedicate my time to preparing warm, nourishing meals for new moms during their postpartum recovery. I’m eager to expand my collection of recipes and would appreciate your contributions! I’m specifically looking for easy, hearty dishes that are healing. Please keep the ingredient lists short—no complicated recipes with tons of steps!

I love incorporating bone broth into my cooking (I even make my own!), so recipes using it would be a bonus. I prefer dishes featuring beef, chicken, or lamb, and please, no seafood or pork.

I’d love to hear your favorite go-to recipes that make great leftovers too! Thank you in advance! 😊

    – 2 carrots, diced
    – 1 onion, diced
    – 2 celery stalks, diced
    – 2 cups kale or spinach, chopped

    – Salt and pepper to taste
    – Optional: 1 cup cooked quinoa or rice for added heartiness

    Instructions:
    1. In a large pot, add the diced onion, carrots, and celery. Sauté in a bit of oil until softened.
    2. Pour in the bone broth and bring to a boil.
    3. Add shredded chicken, thyme, and any other veggies you like (like peas or corn).
    4. Let simmer for 20-30 minutes.
    5. Stir in the kale or spinach just before serving. Adjust seasoning to taste.
    6. Serve with quinoa or rice if desired. This soup stores well for leftovers!
